EDM-AF5® Graphite

Our EDM-AF5® graphite is the premier Angstrofine graphite electrode material available on the market today with an average particle size of less than 1 micron. This gives this grade advanced properties that exceed those with larger particle sizes.

  • Average particle size of less than 1 micron provides superior strength and resistance to damage
  • Fine surface finish (7Ra) reduces imperfections, minimizing the introduction of defects into the mold
  • Excellent metal removal rate shortens production times allowing for higher production rates
  • High resistance to wear minimizing replacement needs and reduces cost of ownership
